Strategy

Anova’s strategy is the creation of intrinsic value per share through exploration and organic growth, supported by strategic M&A.

The Company generates oil prospects across the Mississippian zones of southeast Saskatchewan, acquires Crown and freehold mineral rights and develops its lands with each location evaluated on its return on capital. Acquisitions of assets and companies are pursued where they add value per share, in southeast Saskatchewan and elsewhere in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin.

Corporate History

Anova Exploration Corp. was incorporated in Alberta on November 29, 2024 as Artesian Energy Corp. and was spun out of Anova Resources Inc. at the sale of that company to West Lake Energy Corp. in January 2025, subject to an area of exclusion that ran until February 2026. The Company was renamed Anova Exploration Corp. in April 2026 and began material operations in southeast Saskatchewan in mid-2026.

Members of the Company’s team founded Anova Resources Inc. in 2017, drilled its first operated well in 2021 and grew it organically to more than 2,500 bbl/d of gross production (approximately 1,250 bbl/d net) by its sale to West Lake Energy Corp. in January 2025. The corporate presentation on the Investors page describes that record.

Anova Resources Inc. is a separate, prior company; its assets, reserves, production and results are not those of Anova Exploration Corp. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results. See Legal and Advisories.
