Operations

Oil production in southeast Saskatchewan.

Southeast Saskatchewan

The region offers year-round access and an experienced local service sector.

Anova is in its start-up phase. It produces oil from operated wells in which it holds a 100% working interest, with drilling under way, while it builds its team and systems ahead of its launch in the first quarter of 2027.

The Company also evaluates opportunities elsewhere in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin.

The Region

Light Oil Pricing

Production is priced off the Light Sour Blend benchmark at Cromer, Manitoba, east of the Alberta hubs where pipeline constraints concentrate. Light Sour Blend trades at one of the narrowest differentials to WTI of any Canadian crude.

Horizontal Development

Conventional horizontal and multi-lateral wells, with short cycle times from spud to production.

Mineral Title

A mix of freehold and Crown mineral rights, acquired through freehold leasing, Crown land sales and farm-ins.

Infrastructure

Pipeline, gathering, battery and water disposal infrastructure is established across the region.

Drilling rig floor

The Mississippian

Anova’s development targets oil in the Mississippian carbonates of southeast Saskatchewan.

The play has produced oil since the 1950s and has decades of well control. Its geology is complex: multiple Mississippian zones subcrop across the region, oil is held in conventional structural and stratigraphic traps, and the play continues to be redeveloped as new technologies and new geological interpretations open additional targets.

Safety

In an emergency at an Anova well, facility or pipeline, call 911 if anyone is in danger, then call Anova’s 24-hour emergency line.

Report fires, spills, gas odours, injuries and damaged equipment to the emergency line at any hour.

Before digging near Anova’s wells, pipelines or facilities, request locates through Sask 1st Call. Saskatchewan’s Pipelines Act requires notice to the pipeline operator before any ground disturbance within 30 metres of a pipeline. Crossing, proximity and road-use requests may be sent to [email protected].
